Latest
news: Rob crowned 2006 Mens overall Michigan Points Series Champion!
The
2006 Ford Midwest Cycling Team is based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan and
competes primarily in USCF Category Pro/1/2 road events and Michigan
Elite/NORBA Semi-Pro mountain bike events.
The team operates under the largest cycling club in Michigan, the Ann
Arbor Velo Club. This club has
a reputation for developing junior riders and has been named “Club of the
Year” numerous times by the United States Cycling Federation (USCF).

2005
was yet again another successful season for the team, with victories in four
disciplines of cycling: Road,
Cyclo-Cross, Mountain Biking and Track
2006
is the 8th year for the team and given our success over the past
few years, we plan to compete on an expanded regional and national level.
This
will include races in
Ohio
,
Pennsylvania
,
Illinois
,
New York
,
California
,
Utah
and
Arizona
.
Each
venue offers more and more exposure for our team and sponsors. Many of the
national and regional races the team participates in are well covered by
local media such as TV, newspapers and internet articles, as well as
national media such as Outdoor Life Network, ESPN, Velonews Press, Bicycling
Magazine, Sports Illustrated and even People Magazine. All of this combined
equates to high exposure and high integration into multiple cities and age
groups. We also have the unique ability to be a "walking
advertisement", enabling us to talk with people about our experiences,
our products and our sponsors. Given the team’s success in racing as well
as in our individual professions, this gives us an edge over many other
teams in the
Midwest
.
